Litigation Solicitor – General Litigation & Family Law
Salary: £45,000–£70,000 (DOE)
Experience: Minimum 3 years PQE
Location: East London
Role Overview
We are seeking a Litigation Solicitor with strong experience across general civil litigation and family law matters. This role suits a confident, proactive lawyer who can manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision and deliver high‑quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a mixed caseload of civil litigation and family law files from instruction to resolution
Advising clients on disputes including contract issues, property matters, debt recovery, and contentious probate
Handling family law matters such as divorce, financial remedy, cohabitation disputes, and private children matters
Drafting pleadings and legal documents including statements of case, applications, witness statements, and settlement agreements
Conducting advocacy at interim hearings where appropriate
Liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
Negotiating settlements and representing clients in mediation
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm-wide procedures
Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships
Required Skills & Experience
Qualified Solicitor with minimum 3 years PQE in litigation and/or family law
Strong technical knowledge of civil procedure and family law processes
Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
Confident communicator with strong client‑facing skills
Experience conducting advocacy is desirable but not essential
Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to practice development
